Elemental Dividers
The “Elemental Dividers” product concept was inspired by the Chinese practice of Feng Shui, and the lack of defined space typical of young adult’s apartments.
In Feng Shui, colors and elements are used to control the flow of energy in space. These architectural dividers provide an attractive means of controlling circulation and privacy. The palette is modern and fresh, the designs monolithic. The patterns are inspired by the elements, providing a strong textural backdrop through surface design. The price point is kept low by the use of rayon, allowing accesibility to a young demographic. I also created custom-dyed samples of each pattern.
